Introduction!

Hi!

Thank you for the welcome! By way of introduction, we are an authorized distributor of the FS-2500 bypass oil filter, which probably does not need too much introduction here, but for those that are not familiar with it, the FS-2500 is an exceptionally efficient bypass oil filter system for diesel engines (and transmissions also). Custom vehicle specific kits are available for the
7.3L Powerstroke, 6.0L, and the 6.4L. If you own an IDI engine and are interested in a kit, please get in touch with me - we have some options for those also, and or course kits for the other brands - which I probably should not mention here! There is plenty of good reading on our website, if you are interested, and also a fairly informative video as well. Feel free to drop me an e-mail or phone call if you have any questions, I answer e-mail very frequently. I will also try to respond to posts here as soon as I can, but e-mail will be the fastest since I am sometimes overwhelmed!

On the other side of the business, we also supply parts for diesel engines - a brief summary of what we have would include - Injectors, installation kits, glow plugs, glow plug controllers, and vacuum pumps for the 6.9 / 7.3L IDI engine as well as injectors, glow plugs, controllers, valve cover gaskets, UVC harnesses, external harness repair kits, fuel drain valve repair kits, vacuum pumps (including electric), etc for the 7.3L Powerstroke. We do not have too much for the 6.0L Powerstroke yet, but do carry the glow plugs and vacuum pump. Many of these items are still being added to our www.AccurateDiesel.com - Accurate Technical Services, LLC website, but most if not all are also in our Ebay store - eBay Store - Accurate Diesel and Gas: Gas and Diesel

I know we already have a number of good customers among the membership here and look forward to more mutually beneficial relationships!

Thank you

Thanks!

Here are the basics of bypass filtration - in a nutshell. For starters, because your factory oil filter must filter the entire quantity of oil circulating through your engine every time it "goes around", the factory filter cannot be made too fine, or it would also be too restrictive and result in more frequent opening of the bypass valve and thus greater use of un-filtered oil. That is why most factory filters can only trap particles down to about 25 microns.

In bypass filtration, we take a small percentage of the oil that is passing through the engine - lets say 10% - and pass that through a very fine filter. In the case of the FS-2500, the filter is 99.63% successful at removing particles 2.78 microns and larger. In a short time, all of the engine's oil has passed thorugh the bypass filter. One study by SAE shows that particles in the 4 - 7 micron range cause a large percentage of engine wear.

WOW! So are these easy enough to install that even a girl (with tons of tools) could do it? I'm very interested in anything that will give my PSD a longer more productive life.

I watched a video on this system and it was pretty amazing. The used a clear filter case so you could see the used oil go through the filtration system. It went from black to basically looking like brand new oil. Its on my short list. And

Hi,

Yes, the system really is not hard to install - especially on a 7.3L. Basically it involves hooking up a pressure and a return hose to the filter. The 7.3L has built in pressure and return ports right next to each other on the side of the block, so no problem there. You will need to drill a couple of holes to mount the filter itself, but that is the only drilling / modification required. The systems are designed to be owner-installable and come with very complete instructions with nice clear pictures.

Thanks,

Tim
