Excursion door panel removal

I just picked up an 00 Excursion. The power door locks do not work, what is the proper procedure to remove the door panels. I don't want to break any of the plastic connectors. It looks like I need to lift up on the panel somehow but it is not moving.

Thanks

I know on my F-350 there were two screws to remove, and then it just lifted up. If you have a chiltons or haynes manual, they show you also. You can pick those manuals up at almost any parts store for about 15 bucks. Lots of nice to know stuff too. Hope that helps some.

Thanks, I was saving up to buy a factory service manual, but I might just have to buy a chiltons to cover me for this project.

There is a screw under the window/door lock switch panel. Take off the window/door lock controls and unhook the wires. You'll find the screw there.

There is a second screw behind the lower lamp cover on the door. Remove lamp lens and you will see the screw.

Next, lift the end closest to the door hinge first. It pops out.

You may need to first remove the plastic trim piece/door pillar cover (sideview mirror area). It just pops out. It may be in the way of lifting the panel up.

Carefully lift up and back away from door.

Excursion door panel

All the door locks on my 2000 Excursion have failed. How do you remove the window/door lock controls? Also, how are the rear door panels removed?
