RADIO cross reference help!!!

yes i have the turd 6 disc that doesnt work in an 02. im not playing the game trying to find a good one since most people wont ship them. i would like to know which models still work with the steering wheel controls. for example, the 2006 ford escape radios are 6 disc and are the same size but have an "aux" button that i want to add a female input plug in the dash to use my ipod or whatever for aux input. can anyone help?

Typically, people don't replace factory units for other factory units. Much less replacing a broken factory unit for a different models factory unit.

Why don't you go aftermarket?

this if a ford radio your putting in or aftermarket? I'd like to find a newer model ford unit to put in mine because i really like keeping the stock look, keeps the burglars away.

I like to do the same, keep the stock look. The previous owner had an aftermarket jobby & was broken into & stolen. They hit the lock cylinder with a screwdriver & jacked the dash up. If like an aux input, thinking of tapping into the 6 disk audio out
