which gears?

i have a 6" lift and hmmve 37 in tires on bead locks. trying to figure out what gear to run. im torn between 4.56 or 4.88. i looked at some calculators but all of them give a way different answer to what my highway rpm would be at.

What gears and size tires do you have now? Also what rpm are you turning at 70mph?

found a set of 4.56 gears from yukon for 100 bucks. now i have only set up 1 other rear diff and it was under close supervision. since i am not changing the carrier i should be good to install the factory shim on the pinion and bolt the ring gear to the carrier and call it done correct? i do plan to check the mesh of course but i shouldnt have to much of an issue i dont think. any opinions?

You are correct. Make sure you use the factory shims. And make sure you don't miss match the carrier spacers and you should be good
