Suspension upgrades for Excursion?

What's recommended for a 4x4 excursion suspension upgrade? I read somewhere about using F350 springs? I need new shocks so I figure if I would benefit from a small lift now's the time to do it. Any recommendations for kits/shocks? Thanks

2000 Ford Excursion 7.3, AIS intake, 4" MBRP exhaust, PHP Hydra Chip, Bilsteins (5100 in front and 4600 in back) and x code front springs to be added when I can find the time to put them in.

I was just emailing with CT Performance. Its like $2,500 in parts. That's more than I can spend. I'm not all that unhappy with the ride right now. I was just thinking a little more ground clearance and a better ride than I'm getting with my worn out shocks and load range E tires. What do you think of something like this: 99 04 Ford F250 4x4 2 8" Full Lift Kit w Bilstein 5100 Shocks | eBay

I'd tell Cary what you are able to spend and I'd imagine he'd work something within your budget. Bottom line is, Cary is the man. I'm certain no one would want to see you get shorted by going the flee bay route. Luck of the draw there.

If your only looking to level, i did leveling shackles from amazon, They give me a little lift and get the front springs away from the bump stops. Rides so much better.

No matter what, talk to Cary. He knows Ex suspensions inside and out, and will openly tell you the pro's and con's of each option you want to talk about.

Here are the parts I bought seprate over time for my excursion that I will be doing soon. I will be doing the "B" rear spring mod that every one recommends

F250 rear leaf springs Craigslist: $75

F550 "X" code front leaf springs ebay: $175 shipped

Welded 4" rear blocks powder coated ebay: $65 shipped

3" mini spring pack for the front ebay: $120 shipped

Custom adjustable front track bar ebay: $120 shipped

(4) blistien shocks: $300+- shipped

Longer rear U-bolts: $49 shipped

That's a 4" lift for around $900-$1,000. It high enough to run 35" tires.
