Just keep the oil changed and your foot out of it. The best MPG i've ever gotten is 21 and that was with the lucas fuel cleaner.

is yours 2x4 or 4x4? the 2 wheel drive guys get great MPG.

If its 4x4 you have to remember that the weight of this truck is 10,000 lbs, and its no aerodynamic rocket so for as big as it is 18 is still pretty good

I just put a Hydra chip in my Excursion. I haven't calculated MPG's yet, but I'm positive its much improved. my last tank before the chip was 14 MPG and it looks like this one is going to be 18 MPG. Winter blend fuel and I add Diesel Kleen. Hydra set at 65 hp daily driver.

2000 Ford Excursion 7.3, AIS intake, 4" MBRP exhaust, PHP Hydra Chip, Bilsteins (5100 in front and 4600 in back) and x code front springs to be added when I can find the time to put them in.

The daily driver tunes from PHP are mainly the economy settings just labled daily driver. The basic mods will help, intake, exhaust, and a mild programmer are a great combination for mileage. In my 95 F250 with T500, E-Fuel, cam, and AD injectors with PHP tuning im running around 18.5 at 65mph and 2200 rpm. I can probably knock more out by dropping down to 60mph but I like to get places in a timely manor lol
