New to me 2000 ex

So I finally found one I picked up a 2000 excursion with 110ish. It's want I had been looking for.

We all know the good 7.3 powers toke bla bla bla

Now for the bad cuse those r the only things that matter really when buying a use truck

Paint is horrific ,every panel needs to worked over some more then others ,the roof is the worst but it all is fixable and it helps that auto body is my line of work

The inside is not the worst but the carpet needs to be replaced (kids) and it is 13 years old

But here we go alet the build begin

So the first thing I'm doing is exhaust my plan is to put on diamond eye 5in turbo back no muffler but I can only find one for 1999-03. f250/f350 I have read that it could work I had the 04 - 07 kit on my 05 cclb no problem but I'm talking about a hole different truck so if any one has input please let me know

And I will be put my plow on this truck but I want to lift it a little don't know if I want to put a 4 in kit or X codes let me here what has worked for u

home dept rents out steam cleaners. did a pretty good job with my old interior. then i used tide, lil water and a brush for the real tough stains.

My friend is a mobile detailer we gave his steam cleaner a shot but The carpet is past the point of no return so just going to replace I found whole truck for $249 brand new

When I bought my 4" MBRP tb from XDP they told me that they are the same exept for where it comes over the rear axle. Due to the Excursions larger fuel tank the pipe is bent more than that of a super duty. They called MBRP while I was there to confirm it as well. Now am I saying a super dutys flat out wont work, no, but buying an Excursion specific exhaust will work a lot better, and won't require any modifications.

Thanks that was the answer I was looking for I will get the 4 in that way it just bolts up and it $150 less then the 5 inch

novaex where are you buying the carpet from? mine is shot too and trying to find a thick factory replacement carpet has been hard
