Hey,

I'm looking at buying an Excursion in the next 6-8 months. Did Ford ever build an Excursion with a manual tranny?

welcome... i also dont believe they made them w/ a manual. good luck w/ the search though u will find one with the diesel world plummeting because of fuel prices

Welcome, and no, all ex's are auto's. I did hear of one guy throwing a 6 speed in one, but that was custom fab/work.

Thanks guys. My wife and I are going to be adding to the family so the Liberty CRD isn't going to be quite big enough. We've decided on a diesel Excursion for the room and for all of the steel wrapped around the occupants. I'd like a newer 7.3 because most of the Ford guys I know have told me that by the end of the run Ford had worked out pretty much all of the bugs. Any pointers would be appreciated.

. No not from FORD but I have seen one that the guy got all parts from a 01 F250 and did the swap.
