p1211 code

i got this code yesterday while cruising down the highway. i have a ts 6 position and had just merged on in extreme mode. i read what causes this code and before i start testing this it hit me. i have been driving this for around 30k since i bought it. i never changed the fuel filter. will a dirty filter cause this code?

No 7.3's won't throw codes for fuel pressure. That's the ICP lower or higher than desired code. With your chip on extreme your HPOP probably couldn't keep up.

you either got a spike in oil pressure or pump isnt giving enough oil.

do you have the high pressure oil crossover?

Look between the fuel filter and the turbo there will be a line hooking the oil rails on the heads together.

Try cleaning your IPR valve and see if that helps.

ipr valves on the super dutys dont have a screen like the OBS 7.3's did, so we dont really have an issue with it getting dirty/clogged.

and you should really change your fuel filter every 10k miles.

its wise to make the line out of a hard steel line rather than a braided line. considering the oil pressure can reach 2500-3000 psi. and if you burst a line and dont know it your truck will die and not start without any oil to fire the injectors.
