Burnt rubber smell at start up

Just like the title says, I am occasionally getting a burnt rubber smell right at startup. It goes away almost immediately and it does not happen at any type of regular interval. I have looked throught the engine bay, nothing obvious. Anyone else had this or have a suggestion where to start with this? Thanks

Check your starter cables is where I would start. If it is smelly right after startup you possibly have a starter cable melting due to high resistance, heat during cranking because of high amp draw. Also check to see what your starter is pulling for amps. Maybe a weak worn starter.

Installed a new starter (at 150k seemed a good idea anyway) inspected all the wired to and from it, no issues. Still getting a burning smell right at start up. I did notice my spider and the cac inlet and outlet were pretty dirty on the surface, wondering if I have a leak that would put off the smell at startup.
