2 programmers

2 weeks ago I purchsed a 2000 7.3 excursion in mint condition. This is my first diesel so I'm not real sure how everything works. Upon looking the beast over I found it had a bullydog programmer with 6 settings on it. Still not sure what setting I should use for everyday driving. I'm only getting about 12mpgs. Big question here is last night while changing the shocks I found another programmer. Its a edge products. Can some tell me if its normal to run 2 programmers or could 2 programmers be the reason why the mpgs seem so low?

my old 03 6.0 had the banks six gun when I bought it. hated it. wouldn't matter what position it was in, I never felt a difference. also thought my trans was on its way out and felt like it was slipping. when I finally got fed up with the banks, I ripped it out, truck ran GREAT and trans shifted perfect. I would never buy banks again. after the I got a SCT and custom tune. like night and day.

but other then that I can't help with your original question. lol sorry.
