Buying a 2002 Excursion 7.3 Limited with 290K miles

So I wanted to get everyone thoughts on purchasing a one owner 2002 ford excursion 7.3 4x4 limited with 290k miles. It has been serviced at our local ford dealer it's entire life. They have all the service records from the beginning. washed and detailed once a week - was used to haul the kids around from birth to now. They bought it new at the ford place. I am going to look for the standard stuff - tranny, balljoints,UVC, injectors and blowby, turbo, etc. Anything else. They have it priced at 8k - interior is spotless according to conversation I had with the owner this evening. If no blowby or other major stuff when driving it - it may find a new home.

I would also check:

Water Pump Housing for leaks
If it still has the auto hubs in the front I would check to make sure that you are able manually lock them easily. (Meaning got to the hub and turn the dial to lock, if its not easy to turn there is a good chance they are bad)

I would check the leaf springs as well.

I have over 400k now on my EX and I had a front leaf spring snap on me around 330k. I got the heavier complicity ones now.

It sounds like a good find!

That sounds like a good price if it checks out as described.
