Unhappy Tranny trouble

I have a 2000 Ex limited with 185k miles. The transmission is jerking when it is in overdrive, but the rpm's do not rise. I am not sure if this is the tranny "slipping" since the revs don't increase when it happens. I am considering a replacement from Monster Transmissions. Does anyone have experience with this company or advice on a good quality replacement tranny? I would love to convert it to a 6 speed manual, but I don't think I have the cash for that.

1) I haven't seen anyone convert from Auto to manual, especially for a 4WD... but if it's 2wd - could be done I would think fairly easy.

2) when it starts to jerk - a) is it when it goes into overdrive? and b) is the Overdrive Off light on the shifter handle blinking? either way, i'd get a shop to scan the PCM to look for codes.
Also, if you push the O/D off button (solid light on) - when it shifts into 4th and stays - does it still jerk?
If not - then honestly - sounds like your overdrive clutches are burned up or, if I recall correctly - there's a drum that's been known to crack and do this as well.
Likely from someone not towing properly when in overdrive.

I don't think it's solenoids or valvebody just for the simple fact that it seems to be shifting (and down shifting) properly.
