Got tired of it starving for diesel today!
I have been dealing with my Excursion starving for fuel for a close to a year now. I took it out of town last weekend and ended up only being able to run 50-55mph home. Well this morning I decided to do something about it! I knew either it was the pump, or the in-tank filter. I decided to try the filter first so that I could also fix my fuel gauge too. The gauge has been messed up since Febuary when a collage girl pulled out in front of me and I had to slam on brakes.
Dropped tank the first thing I find is the float had gotten hung on the wires going to the sender. Zip-tie fix, time to do the filter.
Now on to the filter. 3" of 3/8 fuel line, 2 clamps, 2" of 3/8 copper tubing, and a fuel sock from the local parts store for what I believe to be a Honda=FIXED!
Afterwards I decided to see what was inside the fuel filter/mixer. It was FULL of crudd! I can't even believe it was still running!
I would like to have gotten some pics but I was to filthy to be bothered.

Lowered 4", C-notch rear, Dream Beams, 05 brakes& G springs, 3.55 axle, 265-50-20"s on 06 KR's. Cloth 40/20/40 front seats w/ JL 10". Future plans: tweeters.
