Upgrades to my X

I need a little advice. I dont tow with my X, but I want to give my X a little more "PEP" when stepping on gas pedal/ fuel economy. Id like to get a tuner, gauges, cold air intake and exhaust. As far as exhaust, I was thinking about a 4" diamond eye. (because of price.) What brand would you guys recommend on the other stuff? X is a 2000, 7.3, 4x2 Thanks

Everyone has an opinion but I think I am going with the DP Tuner Infinity. It has pretty much all the gauges you need, with custom tunes all in 1. Diamond Eye is good for the exhaust. I went with the AIS intake, but again, everyone has an opinion on these. I also made sure everything was running right before I started on any mods. Oh, it's an accelerator pedal now!! Good luck!! It's never ending.

well i have the afe stage 2 intake with a 4" turbo back MBRP exhaust and i LOVE it. the sound is awesome "especially at start up", and they were both reasonably priced. i don't know if they make applications for your truck since mine is a 04 6.0 but i would check. as for a tuner i hear that sct is the best and i guess you can remotely shut of the egr valve with an sct tuner also so" kill two birds with on stone" i say.

I'd also talk to Cary at CT Performance as he is very knowledgable about our Excursions, top to bottom.

I would do this:

DP Tuner Infinity or PHP Hydra and a 4 gauge cluster w/ ISSPRO (Pyro/Trans/Fuel/Boost)
AIS intake
4" exhaust MBRP or similar.

The infinity is nice, but it isn't cheap either. It's not that much expensive than the Hydra and 4 gauge setup.

The best thing about the infinity is that it is also a diagnostic tool.

I have the ais intake and have noticed it has just a little restriction. I am ok with it though as it is only at wot that the indicator for filter change has moved a little. I am more happy about the fact that it will clean the air better than any other option out there and still do everything I need it to. I also have the beans chip and bigg boost. I have a gen 2 wicked wheel as well but I have not installed it yet.

That was the Hydra chip I was recommending. Power Hungry Performance (PHP).

Mine is flawless. Great Tunes and setup.
