Garrett Turbo

When I bought my truck, it had a new Turbo on it. The guy said it was "upgraded" however, it has me wondering since the new one is a Garrett turbo as well.

Are there any markings (e.g., size, model, etc) on the turbo that I can check to see if it is a different turbo than stock? If so where would it be located, and does Garrett have a site that I can cross check it against?

I think Garrett makes a 88mm conversion that bolts right in for the most part.

Which I'm guessing is the 88mm conversion you speak of.

Now I guess I just need to figure out how to tell what one mine has.

That looks like it's for a 7.3 though in the description line isn't it? Too bad they ain't got one for me!

I have the part number now, so I just need to figure out where the part number is located at on the turbo.

My bad I linked in from the home page againI haven't seen alot of 7.3 ex's in person just a bunch of 6.0s. so that's what I asumed you were talking about I gotta pay better attention at night.

ha ha, yeah, been there done that! I use the home page all the time too, so I have to pay special attention to what truck it is. Before I know it, I'm wondering if mine has the same problem only to discover they are talking 6.4
