Explain that it saves money on diesel. You're just thinking of all the money you will save!

Doubtful she'll believe it, but it could happen.

Turn the radio up is my favorite saying to my wife when she hears something in her EX she does not like. I get a stern look but it has become a joke in the family. Been married 27 years so she takes it fairly well.

yeah, I tried all of those excuses guys (and gal), but shes not buying it. I am thinking about the Ford AIS (mentioned earlier) but was wondering if it flows as much air as the S&B does? Anyone familiar with the Ford AIS? Does it whooosh as loud as the S&B? Again, thanks very much for your time and input.

My wife can't stay out of the whoooooossshhhh she has too much fun.

You could try wrapping it with heat shield (hood liner material) from someplace like Dynamat, its like the stuff they wrap the intercooler pipes with. It would deaden the sound from the intake tubing. Maybe even get enough to use on the firewall in areas to help deaden the sound through the firewall.

It flows almost as well filters better and you shouldnt get the woosh sound because the AIS has a lid on it
