Might have found the Ex I have been looking for!!

I have found an '00 ex with 125k miles on her. I have a questions about ASOF. This excursion has Warn hubs. so when i put the switch on the dash to 4 hi that will engage the transfer case correct? but the wheels wont spin until i get out and lock the hubs? I am pretty sure this is the way it would work.

That is correct. You will have to get out and lock them yourself.

But that is a really nice looking Ex, good find

Locking the hubs is something my wife and I were raised with on the farm. But for her sake I wished the auto hubs worked on our Ex but the were jacked when we got it. Personally I prefer the manual hubs and floor lever.
Most have no issues with Warn hubs. However, I have. Bought one set for the dually and have had snapring on the inside of them come off rendering the hub useless. Reinstall the snap ring and still useable but its a PITA.

never made it down there but the guy has offered to drive it to me so I could take a look at it! (dealer). Might hit him up on his offer. I didnt really want to drive 2 hrs and get there and see the undercarriage was rusted. Its from Virgina Beach, VA. I had the guy take a few pics of the undercarriage and looks like its been undercoated. (almost like its LineX'ed, guess thats what undercoat looks like) don't see undercoatings in CA. Where is the first place the EX's start to rust if its been in salt?

Yes it is estate green!! I like this color and the toreador red! guy is going to drive it closer so i can look at it!! SCORE!! Job interview and looking at a possible new EX!!!

I love all EX's!!! If I win the lottery I am going to have Tim do the conversion on my '11. Good find, that 7.3 will run for another 13 years no problem.

My 2001 Limited has the factory hubs that can be auto or manual. The marking were all worn off, but when I really looked close I could see the faded marks. it says auto and then an arrow showing direction to turn them to manual. Works too!!
