8900, or 9200 GVWR ?

Hey folks,
As I am currently in the market for an Excursion 7.3L 4x4 I have a question. Why do some Excursions have an 8900 GVWR, and some others have a 9200 GVWR on their door jam sticker. Is it due to a towing package, and heavier springs, maybe?

Thanks for any help you can provide,

The #8900 is a gasser and the #9200 is a diesel. The GVWR is higher on the diesel due to the heavier engine.
