What are the advantages of the foil delete and the 10k mods? I've seen the notes in teh tech help section, just curious why I would want to do them. Thx.

2001 excursion 4x4, 4" Magnaflow SS exhaust, AEM Brute Force intake, 05 conversion, 6k HID's, after market tail lights, and thats it for now. More to come..

the only thing the foil delete does is make the turbo noise a lil louder in cab.... and it also make the engine compartment look better

Cool, I'll might consider it. How about the 10k mod? Whats the advantage?

The 10k modgivesyou a little more power but can also give a rougher idle from what I have heard. I did the foil delete and I don't think I would do it again, takes to long to get all the glue off and didn't notice any difference. Maybe it did something but with my intake that is all you can hear. I guess you decided against the 04.

Yeah, the 04 was a corp fleet truck for 11 months, then reged as commercial for 21 months. I asked for a oasis report, but it was at a chevy dealer, and the salesman looked dumber than a box of rocks for a response. Walked over to the sales manager, and got the results I was looking for, said they'd pull the oasis today, because their service was already closed. Looking at the carfax though, it was serviced 3 times within 4k miles, with no info. I think i'm gonna pass anyways. It's an 04 6.0, and corp/commercial uses? Someone's been beating it, but still had stock intake and exhaust. Really only diff from mine would have been teh year and miles, and now that I look at the quad buckets, doesn't make sense with a new baby. So I'm sticking with mine.
