Well folks, I have question. I have an '01 X naturally w/the PSD & 2 wheel drive. I was wondering since fuel has gotten so darn high if it it would be cost effective to change the rear end gears for increased mileage. I wonder what woiuld be a good ratio ratio to go to from the 3.70 currently in it.

I currently have a 4" exhaust, 60 horse chip & AIS intake.

Just a dumb thought.

Well, the 3.73's are pretty good highway gears. I love my Excursion, but if I could have a manual 6 speed and 3.55's that would be epic. Really, the manual 6 speed would be good enough. But, what you really may be interested in, is a "GearVendor" set up. Since I don't have manual trans, this seems to be the next best thing. Don't bother w/ the gears... http://
