Miles per tank

I recently got a Ex with 196,000 miles. Its an 01 with the 7.3. It has a 44 gallon tank and I'm wonder what miles other people are getting per tank. I have yet to take the tank down near empty but I seem to get maybe 550-575 and then fill up with about 38 gallons. The only mod I have done yet is a DIY Intake. Still working up money for gauges, exhuast and a chip.

When it was warmer I was getting 17-18 on highway and 15 in the city, but now that it is colder out it has seemed to drop. I have a filling that my ebpv might be sticking...

I'm taking a long trip for thanksgiving from philly to MI and I hope I can get there using less then two tanks.

But I'm just wondering what other Ex owners are getting...

due to winter blends in fuels, which many are using now, they hurt your milliage, Ive seen a 2-3mpg drop.

I have the 38+ gallon tank on my 6 wheeler, and I am getting pretty close to fumes at 550 miles on one tank.

With my tiny 29 gal tank I am at fumes by 400-410 on the highway much less than that around town.

I get about 425 out of my 29 gallon tank

I got 483 out of mine on the HWY comming back from SSS -- that still said I had 25 till empty..

that was with filling it almost completely to the cap! That is with my 29 Gal tank

Another question I got, is how close is the Miles Till Empty reading on the info-center to being correct.

The trucks only have a 29 gallon tank? Wow makes me wonder why they put a big 44 gallon tank in the EX makes a big weight difference when full compared to empty.

The shortbox only has a 29 gallon tank. the long boxes i think are 38 gallons

I can get about 476 miles before the "hey dumbazz, you need fuel" light comes on. So I am figuring if I ran it dry, which I do not plan on doing, that I could probably stretch it out to 525 if I had to. I have the 38 gallon tank.
