loose steering
i seem to have alot of play in my steering wheel. right in the middle. tie rods maybe? im about to jack this truck up and check. i have a rattle in the suspension up front. looks like i have bad bushing somewhere. anyone else have this issue?

I Would say your steering gear box is probably done for and needs replaced. I had to do this because mine was pissing fluid and it dramatically improved the steering response. I also checked all of the tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, front stabilizer bar and track bar bushings. Some were worn out and needed replacement. If you have to replace any of those components get the ones that can be greased with a grease gun. Check the tightness of your steering components along with your stabilizer bar. I had a combination rattle that was produced by both components. If you have to get a new steering gearbox, go with Red Head steering gears; Red Head Steering Gears - Home. They charge a little more but they are well worth it. Hope that helps.
