For sure, talk to Cary, he knows his stuff... I spent some time on the phone with him the other day talking about lifting our Ex, very informative.
In general, the DIY intake/6637 filter is the first mod I do to a 7.3 when I get it, straight pipe the exhaust, get some gauges to monitor Boost, EGT, trans temp, then get a good chip. I'm a fan of DP Tuner, but others have also had good luck with the TS chips with custom tunes... Skip the cannned tunes, or things like Edge, bully dog, etc. Not worth the time and money, do it right.
