Overhead Console Computer add on

Hey Fellas,

Got a question for anyone who knows the answer. I've got a '00 Excursion with an overhead console but no overhead console computer. I was wondering if the wiring would be in there and I could just find a computer and throw it in. I pulled the concaved plastic cover that goes where the computer screen would normally be and only seen the plug for the rear a/c controls and thought I would ask on here before I went further into the console. Thanks in advance.

my guess would be no. Because they hadn't even designed the computer at that point.

Thanks for the reply. What year did they start because I've found a couple hundred computers that say they are for 99-02 Superduty's. Not to mention used overhead consoles with computers in them for the same years.

Here's a few computers:

My 2000 EX Limited has one, so I guess it's possible it may be pre wired? Hard to say for sure though.

Ur 2000 has a DVD player? This is what we're talking about right?

Because neither my 01 limited or 02 limited have the DVD player/ screen, but the 03 limited does.

Scratch that after rereading ur talking about the temp and the compass fuel mileage. Right? On that note all of the limited that we have have that

Nooooo, when he said overhead computer screen, I was assuming he was talking about the temp, compass, avg mileage, DTE computer. I believe '02 was the first year for the overhead DVD.
