Newbee needs help?

I am new to the group and I wanted to pick some of your brains. I have a 01 ex ltd with 7.3. I have a superchips programmer, MBRP exhaust, and air raid kit and I am getting about 22-25 miles to the gallon. I have a weird noise that comes from the right front wheel well when I make a right turn, I think that it may be a steering pump problem? I wanted to know if any of you had any suggestions or had a problem with the steering pump.

Can you describe the wierd noise. Is it a clunk, squeal, squeek, grinding noise. It could be the wheel bearings, u-joints on the front axle gone bad if you have a 4x4. It could be the hubs stuck in the lock position if you have 4x4. It could be the powersteering pump squealling if it is going bad or low on fluid. Could be the belt squealling if it is stretched out and needs to be replaced.

Thanks for responding. The noise sounds like squeal and it only happens when the truck has sat for a long time. Once it has run for a while it goes away.

I also had the hubs replaced when I bought it two years ago. I have not replaced the belt though.

Does it make the noise when you not moving, or just when your moving down the road?
