Electrical problem need help

I have a 2000 excursion 7.3 and the windshield wipes come on randomly. When i turn on the the truck the come on and when im driving the just randomly come on. When i use the switch to turn them on the work no problem. But i cant find a reason why they just come on at random

Could going be a problem in the GEM module or the relay bad. I've heard, when turning on the wipers, will cause the motor to die due to a bad/sensitive CPS.

Any ideas how i could check the relay and what is the GEM sorry to sounds like a noob

The Generic Electronic Module controls the wipers (timer delay)power windows auto down, interior lights etc. it is located attached to the back of the fuse box in my 2000 F250. Under the hood ,in the power distribution box, you will find a few black square cubes . These are the relays for different systems , look in the owners manual for which one is the wiper relay. swap a few with the wiper relay to see if it helps.
