Rear door ajar switch replacement

02 ford excursion, Ok Im thinking that I need to replace the door ajar switch on the rear door at the back of the vehicle, as the interior lights and door ajar light stay on after it is opened.
My question is does the glass hatch have its own sensor and if so how do you remove the door panel?

Yes there is a separate, and yes they are garbage, we have found that even replacing them they still fail, my brother has about half of his bypassed....
