Removing Exterior Plastic Molding - Excursion XLT

I've got a 2-tone XLT - the lower color is actually painted molding. If I remove that stuff, are there holes beneath it or just adhesive? I do know about the clearcoat issue and am mindful of that mistake - I just don't want to get half-way through and realize there are holes through the door keeping it on.

from my encounters with moldings...they are usually 3m with some supporting tabs. Same as the emblems..thats just want I know. I am sure some others may know better. Good luck!

take the door panel off to look, that may help I am not fure sure though!

I might just see if a body shop can paint only the silver strip (without removing it) - I hate two tone for some reason
