What's this X worth?
Long time lurker, finally have something to say, or rather, ask...
Just sold my gasser Dodge, so I need some wheels... This X is for sale local to where I'll be when I get vacation from the Stan, and although I'm strongly leaning toward a 6.4 lariat, I do have a soft spot for X's. The guy wants 20k, but seems willing to work. He says it's nearly perfect inside and out. What do you all think? I suppose I could buy it and if I change my mind later, just sell it... It's a 2001, 200k miles. Owner claims it runs and shifts perfectly. I'm waiting for him to send me more pictures. ![]() Thanks for the opinions... |

I'm not really up to date on X pricing and truck prices are really high right now. With that being said $13-14k is where I would say. If it is perfect maybe $15k. It looks great though.

And what are you planning on using it for? If you want power and speed, that ain't gonna be what you want. The 6.4s are flat nasty man. Every time (and I mean every time) we have a dyno competition... I daydream about selling my truck and getting a 6.4 - but I love my little 6.0, even with all it's problems. |

Just want to use it as a DD. Don't really need it, being single with no crumb crunchers, but I like them. Wouldn't finance, so that's not a problem.
Still leaning toward the 6.4 though. Love them inside and out. It's got an 8" Fabtech with bags JJ wheels, and that's about it. Last edited by Miller; 05-05-2012 at 01:03 PM. |

Hello,
I just recently picked up my `03 EX last November - it has just turned 180k on miles. Looking at that one - looks like he's put a little bit of work into upgrades (which is probably why he's trying to justify $20k) It's not a bad looking truck for sure - but definitely would want to take it for a test drive, But I managed to get mine for $12,500 - but it needed about $3000 in repairs. So if that ones as solid as it looks - $17,500 or a bit more should be a reasonable offer (IMO). But I'd look to see if he's got the paper-trail for oil changes and/or any service work. Hope this helps. |

I'm out at 20k... I'd say 16 at max. 5 years ago I looked at a 2000 with 200k on it, it was set up similar to that one and he wanted 19k

I paid 15k for mine, with new tires, and EBC brakes on all 4 corners. Mine is a 2001 one with almost 200k on the clock. That one looks nice and all but I dont think its worth 20k.

Yep, I agree with the trend. I paid 17k for my 2003, Eddie Bauer, 7.3 liter, 112,000 miles about 6 mos ago.
Seems a bit steep. Good luck Flinch |
