Spring upgrade time a few ?s
I am looking at going with Ws on the front and Bs on the rear of my 01 X with 180k on the clock with average use. The question is what other parts are needed are the bolts worn? shackles? anything else I should do with the springs? I am running the edelbrock IAS shocks and the ride is still floaty and unsure. I recently bought a 10k gross 24ft trailer and am gonna attempt to pull it full of furniture and stuff to move to a diffrent house 2 hrs away.

Big *** sway bar in the rear and wider tires. There is a guy on here who specializes in this stuff. CT performance. He did mine and it made a huge difference.

Just (and I mean 10 minutes ago) got my 03 Ex back from the B-mod, front X code spring swap.
You need U shaped bolts, not the square corner ones, and longer center bolts if you do the modded B codes. My parts: X 2c3z-5310-HA B 3c3z-5560-CB Front axle U-bolts : F81Z*5705*ZA Rear U-bolts M16X2.0 X 108/343 PART NUMBER N803770S436 I chose to use the stock blocks, not the tapered ones - yer choice. Got mine from Tousley Ford on-line: price with shipping was $200 less than my local Ford stealer, including taxes. Good luck Flinch |
