2WD Added AirLift 1000

Thanks to all who take the time to Post, answer and respond.
You are awesome.

Lots of 4X4 spring info here, but here is a bit for 2WD Excursion owners.

Been thinking for a while and finally did someting about the saggy coils on the front. My 2000 (bought her new) Ex PSD just felt old and sloppy.
The Airlift 1000 ($90.00 delivered) aint that hard to install
but it won't go throught the side of the springs
like the video might show.
You have to drop the sway bar link and bottom shock mount shock
then jack-R-up.
Take out the coil upper retainer bolt as you get close and the spring will come right out.
Install like directions say.
I put 50 psi in mine and checked for leaks. I got almost 1 inch back on my front end. Ride is nice, will get back to you after spring break highway trip.

Now What to do about the rear. Air Lift? or RAS?
Gotta keep the ride nice for the wife.

Airlift fixed a sag problem that lead to a camber issue.
Got Michelin LTX ms2 yesterday. The ride has never been better.
Still thinking about the rear springs.
Its more obvious now that the front is fixed how much the back needs it.

2WD Excursion Springs

Dredging up an old thread here - picking up a 2000 Excursion Limited 2WD next week. How are the front airlifts treating you - still well? Did you do anything for the rear?

Not a lot of 2WD Exc suspension info floating around...

Thanks -B

Still loving them. Havent done anything to the rear but have decided to do "air" to the back as well. Adjusted the pressure once. still at 50psi. Best hundred bucks I ever spent.
