Hi,
I have done some research on resetting the keyless entry keypad and found out you have to look for the master code behind the radio. I have tried but have not been able to find the box. My next step is to remove the radio. My question is: is there a way to remove the radio without the actual tools? I do not have those. I know the procedure but wondered if there is some DIY way of doing it. 2003 Excursion. Thanks Cynthia |

The radio tools are available from autozone for less than $5. That is the only way I know of.

you can use coat hangers too but it is so much easier with the tools.

Yeah, I use the coat hangers, but it's harder if you don't know exactly what you are trying to do with them. Probably best to just buy the tools, they are inexpensive enough.

Welcome.
I see that a Newbie has slipped in here. Hope you get your keypad fixed. You may want to introduce yourself in the intro forum. There's help here on this site, in case you need it later on. |
