Visor on 2002 excursion

Hey guys,

Just bought a new to me X and it has one of those stupid sun visors with lights on it. Looks like the moron previous owner did a, let's just call it "custom install" and really made a mess of things on the roof. Also appears he bolted 2 bolts into the roof which I'm just thrilled about. Anyone have any suggestions on removal and filling these damn holes? Ive heard putting the bolts back in after removal (looks tacky), welding it shut (expensive considering I don't trust myself to do it)...any other ideas? I'm from Illinois so it needs to stand up to the elements in every way.
