Steering starting to wander????
My bone stock 2001 Ex 7.3L 2WD with 160K miles has developed a low-speed wander that came on pretty quick and...and is a definite change from what used to be.
Tires are excellent, recent alignment, new Bilsteins front/rear. New ball joints, too, so suspension is tight. It's windy and cool outside, and getting under the truck today isn't what I want to do... so hoping this question's answer is a simple fix or a simple set of things to look at when I get under the truck. What's the next step to find and cure this wandering? Driving 45 shouldn't have to be a white-knuckle and constant alert type of driving....

I recently blew out my steering stabilizer (leaking oil out) by hitting a huge puddle on the passenger side. I have noticed a huge change in steering response. It constantly wanders and has to be corrected, so a new shock and a steering box adj. is in my near future. I know there's other issues that can cause this, just thought I,d share my experience.
