I'm Going To Line-X The Roof...

Yeah, since I can do this is in white to match the rest of the vehicle, I'm going for it. My paint is beginning to chip on the roof and I am getting some rust at the windshield molding... I carry gear on the roof. RoofTop cargo box, SurfBoard carrier, etc. So, the surface would become way more utilitarian. And yeah, I'll spray the factory rails as well. It would serve them right to be coated. We'll see? The Ex still looks good for a Y2K, but there are a few things that should be addressed to prevent rust, etc.

Have any of you done this?

Well, I'm also considering doing the herculiner myself. I can get it in white. And w/ enough patience and prep I've seen some good results w/ it. I don't know, that may be to risky... LoLz. So far I think I'm looking at $500.00 to do the job w/ Line X...

I agree about the price drop if it's done sloppy. However, this may be a trend setter. I've seen some CJ's and FJ's w/ this, and it looks great.

I think the function of it will be great but my only concern would be with the white linex, how hard is it gonna be to keep it clean and white?

ya like it could stain permanent or something is my thought. Have you seen the color white line-xed on a roof or just like a black?

Clear coat over it and it will stay protected.
