wait to start light?

maybe someone could help me out real quick?

picked up an 02 ex recently and did not come with an owners manual. when i turn the key to on position theres no "wait to start" light.

is there another light that i should be looking for?

Good chance your Fuel Bowl Heater element is bad, which will pop a fuse and shut your PCM off. (Same Fuse.)

Check your fuses, (#22 I think )

Unplug your Fuel Bowl Heater, and try and start it.

If you do have a bad heater, make sure you buy the FORD one... I bought an aftermarket one and it crapped out immediately... it was TINY too, like 1/3 the size.

search a bit and read the 02 ex doesnt have a "wait to start".....it actually is the light to the left that has a few wavy lines?

Kinda Looks like "~"

It's a crappy video,, but here is mine on a cold start, the WTS light is the last on to shut off (at 19 seconds in the video).

yup....looks like that "~" ....so thats actually the "wait to start" signal/light?

Yes.

When you turn the key to the "on-run" position, you should always wait for that light to go off before you start. While that light is on your glow plugs are heating up, and they draw a lot of juice, even when it's warm out.
