EGT Probe Install 02 Ex

Any pointers for EGT probe install before I tackle it in the coming weeks? I did an install on my previous 04 6.0 and can't remember how I did it...was about 4 years ago.

Any advice and any pictures will be appreciated.

Drivers side manifold. Drill and tap size was in instructions with the probe. Sorry couldn't make a direct link to the picture.

what he said and:
I Used a center punch to make a mark so that the drill bit will start easier and not slip around.
Drill the hole without lubrication so the pieces fall away freely and dont stick to the drill bit or manifold.
tap your hole
put the shop vac up to the hole to suck out any particles left and then stick the end of one of those pen magnets in the hole just to be safe.
thread the probe coupler into the manifold. I put a little anti seize on the coupler threads

Mine is just held in by the threads.

On some gauges the probe and coupler are held in by a band clamp. Some are threaded couplers, mine is threaded also.
i just found that pic on the net to use as a reference for position.

I drilled mine at the spot where it dips down before the up pipe flange connectors to the manifold. I started small and worked myself up to a R? sized bit. Vacuumed what I could, and left the rest.

Did mine right on the bend of the manifold.That was the easiest spot when it was up on the lift.
