Pulling,wondering ,and steering vibration
OK >> Here goes..
Just purchased a 2002 Excursion, and at first it pulled hard to the left while braking(the dealer did a front brake job before I bought it). That has since cured it's self, but I'm left with a pretty hard, and steady pull to the left. I also have a wobble in the steering wheel at various speeds that is more prevalent at speeds above 75 m.p.h. I had the wheels rotated and balanced, as well as an alignment... everything checked out..in fact the alignment guy said it was dead on didn't adjust anything, and said I should be going down the street straight. The last thing is the ever so special moment when the truck isn't pulling left it has a wonder to it.. were I feel like I have to constantly be steering the truck to keep it going straight. Any help would be appreciated. |

Sorry, you bought a Democrat's truck! Maybe get an Abe Lincoln or Ronald Reagan bumper sticker and it will stop pullin' to the left!

Jack up your front end and spin your wheels by hand to check for a dragging brake caliper on the left side. That's all that I can think of that could cause a pull left providing the alignment guy knows what he's doing. As far as the wonder and wobble, could be many things: Worn ball joints, tie rod ends, track bar joints, steering box gear mesh (which can be tightened). Start with checking these and also remove steering stabilizer and inspect for replacement.
