CD error?

I can't get my cd player to work... it just says cd error. Has anybody had this prob? Heck I can't even get it to spit them out, it won't do anything.

mine just started doing the same thing i was going to start a thread, but mine is a 04 probably the same though???

If they are the 6 disc in dash changers, then you're out of luck. You'll have to take it apart to get them out or let Ford send it off to the company that remans their units and they will take them out and send them back to the dealer.

Are you putting in a burnt CD? Alot of factory decks will not except a burnt one.

No, they are all bought cd's. That sucks that I have to take it apart... I hope this thing doesn't start nickel n dimeing me to death. Trading in my 06 dodge tomorrow... maybe I ought to keep it and sell the Ex?

I use to work at a Ford dealership and it was nothing to send off 2-3 factory in dash changers a week for that problem.

probably not the same thing but 2 days i was going down the road listening to the radio and my damn radio tried to switch to CD. i never pressed anything and theres not even a CD in the thing. then it did it twice today until i smacked the dash and it quit

well usually my old trick is when i hear a noise i just turn up the radio and it fixes it, but when the radio itself breaks theres only one thing left to do....fist it

I have the same problem.. only it is on both my 6 disc in dash, and DVD player They both will play disc's, but will not eject them... does this mean I'm stuck with the kids DVD for the next year. Is there someone that refurbs these things ?
