Need help for multiple issues...
I purchased a 2001 Ford Excursion with the 7.3 PSD back in Aug. of this year, truck has run perfect for the last 2,500 miles since purchase but about a week ago I parked it due to getting my seasonal layoff and it sat in for about 3 days, temps got down to between 20-5 degrees out and when I tried to start it up it didn't (I didn't have a way of plugging her in), tried jumping it as the batteries got pretty drained from trying to start it, I was able to plug it in for a couple of hours and she started right up without needing a jump. Now these are the issues that have never had before.
1) blower fan seems to stay on even when I remove the keys from the ingnition ??? 2) overdrive "OFF" light on the shifter is blinking when I drive it. 3) service engine soon light is now on Never seen any of these problems until this not starting in the cold/trying to jump start it happened, any ideas why all of a sudden this all pop up at the same time? Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! |

Not sure about #1. Flashing OFF light is the trucks way of letting you know there is a transmission/drivetrain problem, so get the codes read and they will tell you why the engine light and the OFF light are on. If you don't have a reader, you can get Autozone to read it for free.

Took it to advance auto to have codes read yesterday and the guy said he could see both of the lights but could not pull any codes, then this morning, service engine soon light and the OD off light were gone, been driving the truck all day and the warning lights haven't come back
Blower motor seems to be working correctly again too I'll chime back if anything changes.
