anyone ever installed a front receiver hitch on an X?

I am looking to run a rod rack for surf fishing on the Outer banks and other beaches of NC. And also get some sort of step or bench fabbed up on 2" tube for working under the hood chasing leaks and whatnot. Im used to a dodge CTD ram that has a nice strong rad support and nice wide bumper to stand on. The logical choice that mounts behind the tow hooks requires removal of the fog lamps and drilling into the bumper/mounts. There is another choice that mounts to the bottom of the bumper posts but it seems too low to use with a rod rack or step depending how far back you are working on the 7.3.

Anyone have any experience with either hitch??????

I decided on the bodiak hitch but for what it is it's high and so is shipping. So because it's not a need I have put it off for other stuff like shocks and soon tires.

Someone had done the front hitch on an X on TDS forums under the X section. Included pics as well. Believe it was housedad.
