Programmer w/o gauges/exhaust? 7.3L

Greets, I know from reading some that a programmer or chip should have a bigger exhaust and also gauges to monitor EGT. Here is one truck that appears to only have a hypertech programmer, should I pursue negotiation or not even consider it? Are there any warning signs that EGT has been exceeded? Yes I know it is priced very high, thanks.

I would ask the dealer to provide the name and number of the prior owner if it was a trade in. I have asked that information from all dealers in the past. Most, if they have the info, will give it to you. I would ask the owner what he did with his truck. Did he do heavy towing? Did he maintain the vehicle? etc. I run a programmer in mine with no EGT gauge but I do not tow and I do not hot rod it at all.

And yes, they are very proud of the price.

The Hypertech Programmer will not hurt the truck in any way. Our Programmer is designed to operate without a pyrometer. You can tow the maximum weight that the manufacturer says you can on stage 3.
