Bench Seat Options and Availability

Hey guys, the wife and I are looking at buying an Excursion, preferably one with the 7.3L

Her only requirement is that is has to have bucket seats in the 2nd row (for easy access to the 3rd row) It seems like it is hard to find the 2000-2003 with buckets. Can the bench seat be converted? (Are the mounting points on the floor the same?)

From looking at pictures of the Excursion, it looks like the “40” part of the 60/40 bench seat is removable. Is it? Because if it is, that would allow easy access to the 3rd row.


One more thing, I am from Canada, and I would like to find one from the US. The 7.3L Excursion is already 8+ years, and finding one locally would most likely have a lot of rust.

What would be the easiest way of finding them online? eBay, this site's classified, etc...

I just found this thread, and it looks like the mounting points are there for both the bench and the buckets.

Can anybody tell me though if the 40 part is removable on the 60/40 bench seat?
