To "USE" or "NOT USE" Rotella Synthetic

I just had the EGR replaced on my 03 excursion and was told that the only oil to use was Fords Synthetic cause Rotella "gunks up" the fuel injectors. Anyone have that same experience?

I bought my truck brand new and have been running Rotella since the first oil change, never had an injector problem.

Yeah, Rotella is what I run and it is pretty well regarded around here

im gonna go out on a limb and guess a dealer told you to run ford syn? I run rotella in my 2 high mileage 7.3L i have only had them a year or two each and do not see any problems with Rotella...

My Brother-in-law has used Rotella in his 2002 7.3L F250 since he bought it over 145,000 mi ago. He reccomended it to me but I have not had the need for an oil change yet.

I have heard you shouldn't use rotella in 6.0's but I dont know for sure
I use it in my 99 7.3l with no problems.

I've been using it for about 3 yrs and no problems.
The Harley dealer told my I could only use "Harley" oil too. Go figure??

Been using rotella for over 150k miles and still have stock injectors

I use it because its a full syn and a good one as seen on all the forums. But for me its available at Walmart which makes my decision a no brainer.
