Clearance/Cab light install....
I did a search for this while knee deep on the install.... Found Nothing!!!! So anyways I'm done now and figure I would help whoever is next to need info.
Instructions are pretty straight forward on the main install of the actual lights, except the drill bit sizes were off, way to big and also the wiring where I needed help, I don't have the bit sizes on hand but you can look at the bit and screw to match.
Use silicon sealer on all the holes you drill on assembly to ensure you will not have leaks.
I was lead to believe there was a power source on the passenger side where the kick panel is... There are power sources but not one you hook to the cab lights.... There is no factory harness in a 2000 excursion that was made for optional cab lights, you would probably need a ford factory harness from an f-250 lariat w/ can lights....
I ran the wire to the driver side and popped the headlight switch out with a small flathead, be careful not to scar the dash, on the back of the switch the second white wire to the right is the switched 12v source for the parking lights, use a splitter or whatever the blue thing is called so you don't have to cut wires. Pop the switch back in and there you go, the ground wire just tap into a ground point under the dash, there's alot of grounds bolted under there just add another eyelet connector and bolt it down.
Also the overhead console... Just work your fingers between the plastic and headliner and pull down with a jolt, it's all clipped in but don't pull to far...
This install was with the Recon LED cab lights.. I don't believe any excursion ever came with cab lights but I could be wrong, if anyone needs help with the cab lights install send me a PM and I will help you
