Power Doorlocks

The power doorlocks on the wife's excursion stopped working. If you push the button, it just clicks but wont lock or unlock the doors. The keypad and key fob are the same way. I disconnected the batteries, and it worked right for a day and it is back to not working again. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks in advance.
Marshall

How in the heck...

do I find that motor? My RS passenger door is acting up and I'd like to fix it, but need directions to where to look.
If it's in the door, are there any secrets to removing the door panels (like hidden screws, slide or pull tabs?)

Sometimes they hide little screws in awkward places for a little more support, like under the arm rests etc. Just be carfull and try not to force it, and you will get it. Good luck.

does that mean...?

Thanks for the tip, stray. Just to be sure, does your post mean that the actuators are definitely inside the door compartments?

If so, will it become really obvious once the panel is removed, like right under the door lock or such?

Once you get in there you will see them no problem, and the link above in Stewart's post will help identify them, and give you the info to fix them up. Have fun.

Gord.

I'm pretty sure that I'm having the same problem; however, when I'm driving between 25 and 35 and hit the door locks I loose power to the engine. Anyone else having this problem and/or is it in any way related to the door lock problem?

Is the power loss temporary, like OFF/On again, or is it a dead engine that needs the Start process to get going again?
Have you tried doing the door locks more than once to see if the dead engine comes alive again with repeated lock actuations?
