Thought I read here you needed another diesel to jump start one?

I learned today, that I could jump the Ex with my Camaro.....

The smartest mechanics I know told me it would be fine.....

I now have two new batteries in it. One of the old batteries had a nice little blanket around it....I assume that was factory? Third time since last Sat the batteries wouldn't start the Ex.

Interesting since I am sure I was told the opposite. Anyway, I now have two new batteries, started much better this morning.

They are called Centennial Batteries, I purchased them from a wholesaler that distributes them to fleet companies, like Pepsi, Coke, Bud-wiser, that type of company. They came with a 5 year full replacement warranty.

I have the same cos battery in the 68 Olds and the 58 TBird, had really good luck with them so far. Actually better luck than the optima that was in the olds.

Centennial Batteries - "Start with the best !!!"

Oh yeah, they ran 115 a battery and they installed them for me, took the old batteries without a core charge.

I never heard of them. Looked at the site ...no place to search for a distributor. Are they a west coast thing ?

I have used a running lawn mower to start my truck. I have used a battery charger with start option and my wife's car at the same time. Who ever told you needed another diesel to jump a diesel was wrong.

All you need is a 12v vehicle. Unless you are in the military and trying to start a military vehicle. Then you need a 24v system.

you can still jump start a military vehicle with a civilian vehicle as long as both batteries aren't completely dead.
