engine dies randomly
I am trying to help my brother-in-law out here.He has a 2001 ccsb 4wd auto..He was in Atl. in heavy traffic and the truck just died, fired back up,dies again.Fires it up again and feathers it to keep it running.(roughly 2 weeks ago).
Now ,he is in Tampa, somewhat the same prob. Before I had any knowledge of this,he carries it to the dealer. They didnt mention anything about codes, just asked if it had ever had a chip.Long story short, they said it was electrical and told him he needed a new wiring harness..($1100.00) and he is still trying to get back to SC.Any thoughts? |

There was a cps recall a little time back. I've had similar problems. Stalling out of nowhere. Got an extra off Ebay just in case.
