I had same trouble w/ my 2000 250. There are two abs sensors attached up front. I had to replace my hub assembly and new sensor came with it. Still had light on. I replaced sensor on rear and all troubles went away. I'm sure you can just replace the sensors w/o doing the assembly. Good luck.

i have the same issue on my 99 f250, abs light on, and speedo only works if i go over 30. i only have abs in the rear (i think), so would the only sensor i should be concerned with would be the one on top of the rear diff?

thanks,
travis

With the speedo going out, it is probably the rear. Luckily that is the cheap one ($18 I think). You can have a good scanner read that ABS codes and figure out just which one is giving you fits, but I would be willing to bet 24 pack, it is the rear one.

I had the same exact problem on my early 99 F350 4x4 with a manual tranny. the speedo and cruise ,stopped working and the ABS light went on. I could reset the cruise control but the ABS light stayed on. The speedo would bounce all over. I was thinking that it might have spomething to do with the F5 chips I recently installed. Glad I read this. Saved me a lot of looking.
